1 Kings 18:41-44
41 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.”
42 So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees,
43 and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.”
44 Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’ ”
If we look back in 1 Kings 17 we will discover that the Lord told Elijah to turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan.
And then in verse 4 he said you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there. And the ravens did just that by bringing him bread and meat in the morning and break and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.
There are some of you today that has a hard enough time listening to the Lord when he gives you easy stuff and you would probably never go somewhere that God tells you to go and actually believe the Ravens would feed you.
When you are going through a rough time in your life and no one is listening to you then you backtrack into a corner and say I don't know what to do. It is time for you to get on your knees and box to the Lord and wait for his answer.
You need to cry out to God and ask for that overflowing Holy Ghost in your life.
Acts 1:8
8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Ghost has come upon you; and you shall be [a]witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
You shall receive Power
Over Sickness
Over Death
Over Depression
Over Anger
Over Suicide
Over Anxiety
Over Drugs
Over Alcohol
Over Cancer
Through the sacrificial Blood of Jesus and power from the Holy Ghost all things are possible to him who serve beyond all things.
We must be sold out to Jesus and allow the Holy Ghost to flow through our bodies like a mighty rushing river and allow it to renew our strength and wash away our troubles.
Romans 8:1
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies [a]through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Oh.....watch out because that verse say that He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies. If we the same Spirit of Jesus lives in us then we need to look to him for that miracle that we need in our life.
We have got to latch on to the Holy Ghost and hold on tight because we have quit a ride. It is the Holy Ghost in Power and he is keeping me alive. Without that Holy Ghost that lives in me then my life as a Christian is without what God intended to give us when Jesus left earth.
There is power in the name of Jesus.
It is the Holy Ghost and Power and it's keeping me alive.
We need to be drenched in the Holy Ghost and receive the Power that Jesus promised.
