Job 37:6
Snowflakes Of God

 Job 37:6

For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength.

Last year we seen some record snowfall in a lot of North Texas.  Some of it was as much as a foot of snow or better.

Snowflake - A snowflake is a single ice crystal that has achieved a sufficient size, and may have combined or united with others, then falls through the Earth's atmosphere as snow.  Snow appears white in color despite being made of clear ice.

1.  Snow is a reminder of God's great power.

The most attention there is about snow is when it first falls to the earth.  The snowflakes are falling, because God told them to "fall on the earth."

2.  Snowflakes vary in size and design.

The scientific consensus states that the likelihood of two large snow crystals being identical is zero.

A snowflake can be small and almost hard to see.  Most of the time when snow first starts falling it is small and very hard to see.  Often times we have to look towards something that is dark in color to see the small snowflakes as they fall.

A snowflake can also be very large.  Usually as it snow for a few minutes the snow become larger and can reach up to a very large quarter size or bigger and be very fluffy.

Most everyone that has done research have never seen two snowflake that were exactly alike.  That shows God's great power to see that he has made each one different.

This unique thing about snowflakes reminds us that God not only created them, but God created all of us unique as well.

Jeremiah 32:17

17 ‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.

If God can do all of this then it must mean that there is nothing in our world, nothing in our mind or personal life that can be too hard for God to handle.

Jeremiah 51:15-16

15 He has made the earth by His power; He has established the world by His wisdom, And stretched out the heaven by His understanding.

16 When He utters His voice— There is a multitude of waters in the heavens: “He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain; He brings the wind out of His treasuries.”

Here, Jeremiah goes into detail about the power, wisdom and understanding of God and many of specific things that God created.

Identical Twins may look alike, however they each have a different set of fingerprints.

3.  God calls to be unified in Him.

A snowball is a spherical object made from snow, usually created by scooping snow with the hands, and pressing the snow together to compact it into a ball. Snowballs are often used in games such as snowball fights.

1 Corinthians 12:14

14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.

1 Corinthians 1:10

10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all [a]speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

When you make a snowball and pack it then it becomes a great weapon in a snowball fight.  Each snowflake although they are different in size, weight, shape they still farm a snowball when they are united.

In the scriptures listed about God talks about the unity in the same mind and judgment then things can happen.

Philippians 2:1-4

Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy,

fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

We must be like the snowball and come together in unity as to what we want and need.  If we will do that in one accord then we are pleasing God and He will answer our prayers.
