7 Show us Your mercy, Lord, And grant us Your salvation. Revival - It means a renewal or awakening
We have all seen the revival that is currently going on at the Asbury University.
On the campus of a small Christian college in Wilmore, Kentucky that has been called The Asbury Revival. This revival has now been going on for almost 2 weeks. It has all started on a regular day of chapel and God has now poured out the power of the Holy Spirit.
There is now people that has stood outside for hours waiting to get into the building I watched a man yesterday that said that the minute he walked inside the building that the power of the Holy Spirit was so strong that he broke down within seconds to the power of the Holy Spirit.
In another interview of a young man said that he had drove some 6 hours just to be there and see what was going on and the power of the Holy Ghost was so strong that he got lost in His presence for hours.
Hebrews 10:25
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Church is the place where believers can love one another (1 John 4:12), encourage one another (Hebrews 3:13), “spur” one another to love and good works (Hebrews 10:24), serve one another (Galatians 5:13), instruct one another (Romans 15:14), honor one another (Romans 12:10), and be kind and compassionate to one another (Ephesians 4:32).
As we look as what is happening at the Asbury University we find that there is a group of college students that began to Worship God in unity and the weight of the Holy Spirit has completely filled that building and is giving them a revival or a renewal within the hearts.
We are seeing young people that are in a building with a piano, guitar, & an acoustic drum. They don't have no big screen, no fancy colored lights, no smoke sitting on wooden seats with no cushions a concrete floor and the lights on and they are building submersed in the Holy Spirit and receiving what God has for them.
There is nothing wrong with most of that, however it is the point that they came together and worshipped and prayed to allow the Holy Spirit come. And it is the power of God and the complete filling of the Holy Ghost that we want and need to see happening.
They did not come in the church to point out someone else's faults, laugh at what was going on, complain about the music or anything else but to feel the Holy Spirit move in their lives.
We have a problem in today's church's because there are people that will come to church and criticized everything that is going on in the building. They will be mad and pick an argument with anyone they can.
Revival is a term in my book that I would use because some people need to be revived.
There has been times when I go to church that I thought I was in Ezekiel's dream in a valley full of dry bones. And it would take the power of God to brings those bones or those people back to life.
It is time for revival to hit this nation and bring people back into the house of God. It is time for a renewing of lives to the Lord. It is time for the Holy Spirit to hit you so hard that your shoes will come off and that hair doo will come down and you will see and feel nothing but the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is coming back very soon on a cloud of glory and you better be ready to go. He's not going to wait around on you to make sure your hair is good, your shoes are on, or your life is right.
But, he is coming back for his bride, the people that are ready to go to Heaven with no question asked.
The people that marched around Jericho was waiting on a revival to break out. They were waiting on the day they would praise the Lord God with everything they had and allow God to send down the power to destroy the walls.
If you want what Asbury has got going on today than it is time for you to get up out of your seat and start to concentrate your mind upon God and cry out for the Holy Spirit to pour it out upon you and this church.
It is time for us to get rid of our differences, dislikes, anger towards each other and allow the Holy Spirit to move and make some changes in this place.
