When I was a child growing up they had a game called Whac-A-Mole. This game was a very physical and challenging game of speed and endurance.

A typical Whac-A-Mole machine consists of a waist-level cabinet with a play area and display screen, and a large, soft mallet. Five to eight holes in the play area top are filled with small, plastic, cartoonish moles, or other characters, which pop up at random. Points are scored by, as the name suggests, whacking each mole as it appears. The faster the reaction, the higher the score.
Ephesians 6:10-13
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
It says in verse 10 that we must be strong in the Lord. Another words we must learn to fight against the enemy which is Satan. So, if we pray then we get stronger in the Lord, we get closer to Him.
Then we read in verse 11 to put on the full armor of God. Why? So we can stand against the devil's schemes.
The devil is always after us and trying to destroy our life. He does not see you early and the morning and says oh....today is the day I will try to get them away from God. No, the devil is always out to get you. He schemes against you.
The devil finds a way to get you when you are not looking. Many years ago when I was about 17 I was sitting on the bank of the Methodist Pond in Lewisville, which is the spot behind where WalMart is at in Lewisville. I was sitting on top of my tackle box with a fishing pole and my feet where close to the edge of the water. I was sitting there looking across the pond when I felt something on top of my feet and when I look down it was about a 5 to 6 foot water moccasin slithering across the top of one shoe and then across the top of the other and back into the water it went.
You know the devil is just like that he will come and get right next to us and we never pay attention.
We must now that we do not struggle against the things of this world. We are struggling against Satan and against spiritual forces of evil.
In verse 13 it says to put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground.
Ephesians 6:14-18
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
In the game of Whac-A-Mole the idea is everytime you hit one mole and he goes down then the next will come up. In our life every time the devil comes at you and you knock him down look out because the next one is coming. That's why we must be watching and looking (not at the thing that is happening but, we should be fighting our battle in prayer against the evil that is trying to stop us from God.
Always expect the unexpected. We must know our enemy.
The devil will get you to get in an argument with your wife just so you will miss church or your prayer time. He will get someone to cut you off in traffic to get you to say some curse words. He will convince you that you are crazy to get you on pills to control your mind. He will get you to sit trough service on your phone and show you one funny video after another to keep you from getting what God has for you.
Satan will keep you living in fear to keep you from getting any closer to God. We must pray and build our trust in the Lord and let fear take a bake seat.
1 Peter 5:8
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Satan does not want to play jacks with you. He want to devour you and have you sitting in hell with him.
All of those cute little things that pop up on Facebook that says if you were born in this month then you will see a fortune or you will have someone give you money that is nothing more than a lie from the devil.
When you get a spam call and they try to talk you out of your money, do you give it? Of course not. Why? because you know they are out to steal your money.
Satan wants to steal your life.
John 16:33
33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
This means that is I give my life to Him, then through my salvation I will have peace.
