Hebrews 10:35-39
Trust God And He Will Deliver

Hebrews 10:35-39

35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.

36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

37 “For yet a little while,
And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith;
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.”

39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

The author of Hebrew says that I am writing you so that you don't give up.

He says in 36 For you have need of endurance.

Endurance - the fact or power of enduring an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way.

So, that means in 38 the just or righteous shall live by faith.  Not occasionally but you should live by faith daily.  You Live by Faith.  It should be a part of your DNA.

In order for a runner to win a race they must keep practicing to race long distances.

John 5:1-15

There is a man at the pool of Bethesda that had an infirmity for 38 years.

Infirmity means a man with a disability.

Now his faith caused him to be at the pool all the time.  Notice here that it was not occasionally but all the time.  He was consistent.

The endurance that you build will help you to win races and receive God's answers.

Acts 2:1-4

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all [a]with one accord in one place.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

Then there appeared to them [b]divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Even on the Day of Pentecost they gather in the upper room in Faith seeking what they were promised.  We must have faith in Jesus to be healed and we must have faith that there is the Holy Spirit and that it can fill us today to receive that.

God will deliver whatever our need is at that time.  My wife, my mother, and myself were sitting at the table last night discussing some of the awesome things that God has done in ours and many other people's lives.

My mother had went for several years with problems in her stomach.  She had been praying and awaiting God to heal her.  Jesus came into her room where she was laying down and immediately she knew who He was.  Jesus said to her "are you ready" and she said "Yes" and He touched her and she was healed.

God Will Deliver!

My wife had a problem when she was 17 with something called lock jaw.  She had several time that her jaw would lock and she would massage it and it would finally go back into place.  They say that once lock-jaw happens that it can completely lock and the only way to get it undone is surgery.  One night she was at a church service and there was a lady that had preached and called an alter call.  Jesus kept telling her to go get prayer and she wouldn't until service was over.  She went to the lady while she was talking to someone and asked her to pray and she has never had that problem since.

God Will Deliver!

About 2 years ago I started having a problem with the bottom of my feet.  They had gotten to the point that they were hurting so bad that I could hardly walk without being in pain.  I had talk to my wife and she thought she knew what it was by how I was describing it that she called Plantar fasciitis.  I came to church one Sunday morning and it was hurting so bad that I had everyone gather around me and pray.  Since then I have never had that problem again.

I remember a little bit about Sis. Donna that told about when she was young that she could not walk.  I believe the Doctors told her mother that she would never walk again.  However, by prayer she walks today.

My Grandson "Hap" or "Michael" as some of you know him was in the hospital on a breathing machine.  At one point they even wanted Dad & Mom to pull the plug, however they refused.  We continues to pray and he is here today because God delivered what we asked.

God Will Deliver!

About 2 to 3 years ago Sis. Zapata was told by the Doctor that she had a heart problem.  She scheduled an appointment with a heart specialist and then came to church on a Sunday and had prayer for her appointment.  She had her appointment during the week and by that next Sunday she had her answer from God.  They could not find no problem with her heart.

God Will Deliver!

My Mother-In-Law was told she had cancer a few years ago.  They began to give her radiation and she was suppose to have 20 treatments.  After about her 3rd treatment she got up in the middle of the night to go to the restroom and when she went to stand up her bone in her ankle snapped in two and the bone stuck out of the side of her leg.  After she was fixed up from that they told her that she would have to stop the treatment which meant she was left to die.  But, God had a different story.  She has no cancer.

God Will Deliver!

Not only will He heal the body, but God can help you with your finances.  My daughter has always been faithful in her giving to God and He has delivered to her everything that she needs and she even wants.  She has given everything that she has had sometimes and God supplies her needs every time

Mark 9:23

"If you can?" said Jesus, "Everything is possible for one who believes."

If you want to know your story, just ask God and He will deliver your story.  Your story does not end here, but it continues well after this life if you will believe in Him.
