John 10:9-11
9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
Judges 16 talks about how Samson went into the enemy's territory and played with the devil until he lost.
Often times we are in the enemy's territory and we allow the devil to work in people or things around us to lure our minds into the wrong place.
How does Satan attack believers!
- Satan incites our fleshly desires within us through the unbelieving world around us.
- Satan attempts to deceive us with the lies of worldly wisdom through the unbelieving world around us.
- He attempts to deceive us with a false Jesus and a false gospel through false Christians.
- Satan can physically afflict us or ones that we love with illness, crimes, disasters, and persecution.
How does Satan actually attack us?
- Satan spreads lies about God through the unbelieving world attacking our beliefs and values - spreading the lies of worldly wisdom.
- Satan spreads fleshly temptations through the unbelieving world attacking our mind, emotions, and body - the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, the boastful pride of life.
- Satan places things into our mind from the world around us.
- TV Commercials
- Billboards
- Everyday talk at work about drinking, homosexuality, witchcraft, and many other avenues.
- Death has now became mainstream.
Walking Dead - Show has portrayed - directly and indirectly - events such as the violent death of children, cannibalism, dismemberment, war disease, loss of loved ones, insanity, suicide, drug use, racism, illicit sex, rape, kidnapping, and mob justice.
Skulls on all of our clothing. - Have become so common that some don't even realize that they have bought something with skulls on them. The skull is a representation of death. We now even see small kids wearing these.
The "desires" that we have to sin is the flesh, not Satan.
Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Matthew 4:1-11 - Jesus was tempted by Satan in the wilderness. If Jesus (in human flesh) had lost that temptation then there would have been no sacrifice for our sins.
1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Paul says in Ephesians 6:11 that Christians are to stand firm against "the devil's schemes."
I woke up at 4:00am on Tuesday October 4, 2016 with a dream.
In my dream there was a large black Doberman that started staring at me, showing his teeth, and with a low growl. I started to back up and after a few feet he started to growl a little loader then he jumped and hit his paws into my chest knocking me backwards. When I looked up I saw a bush and a tree between the sidewalk and the street, as I was laying on the sidewalk on my back.
He then begin growling more and showing more teeth as he started towards me slowly again looking meaner and growling with a deeper sound. When he got to about where my knee was I pointed at him and said "In the mighty power of the name of Jesus, Satan get out of here, go on and get". At that time he stopped growling and stopped showing his teeth. Then he began to back away.
Then at that time a small blue two door car with a lady with black hair and two children a boy in the front seat with brown or black hair and a little girl in the back seat with blonde hair pulled up and called for the Doberman to come on. Then I leaned over and looked at the lady in the car as the door shut "he is aggressive and mean" and she ignored me and pulled off.
Afterwards while I was laying in bed wide awake God started to tell me what this dream meant and that he wanted me to share this dream in two weeks.
As the dog started to stare he appeared to be normal however, as the dog start to growl I knew that he was bad however, I did not realize at that point how bad he was going to be.
When he began to come towards me I was backing up to stay away thinking he would back off. Once he hit me in the chest I never saw that coming however, it was too late to run.
When the Lady pulled up with the two kids this meant that she was allowing Satan into her home with her kids.
If we are not in prayer and watching then Satan will be in front of us working his way in and waiting for that perfect opportunity to take us to Hell.
Someone here has something like this at home. It could be a spouse, son, daughter, or other relative living with you.
