Isaiah 41:10
God Has You In His Hands

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

            We used to sing a song when I was a kid that said:

He's got the whole world in His hands

He's got the whole world in His Hands

He's got the whole world in His hands

He's got the whole world in His hands

He's got you and me brother in His hands

He's got you and me brother in His hands

He's got you and me brother in His hands

He's got you and me brother in His hands

            If you are having a problem with fear then you need to know that God said Fear not for I am with you;  Not only does He have you, but He will strengthen you and help you.

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?

            When I am in the darkness, there is nothing to fear for God is there with me.  This is important to know that God is my lighthouse in the middle of a storm.  He strengthens me to get through the storms of life that come my way.

            All of those time when I had no money to repair my care or my air conditioner  God has had me in his hands.  Sis Edwards wrote a song about God has me in the palm of His hand.

Psalm 27:2

When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.

            It says when the wicked come against me to eat up my flesh.  This means that when the people that are wicked and bad come against me and they try to destroy me that they will not succeed.  This is because God has me in His hand.

            I can so I have many times had people that have allowed the devil to us them to get at me and I have had to get on my knees to call out to God.  Do not be afraid of what the devil says he can do but, be joyful in know that God has set you free of those chains.

Psalm 27:3

Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

            This we must know and know well.  When not just one or two, but when many are against me I know and am confident that God's Got This!  God will take care of me if I will just hold on to Him and let God take care of battle.

            Lately my wife and I as well as many in this church have been attacked by Satan.  He knows our weak points and that is where he will push us to our limits.  If Satan can get us mad enough then we will quit church and get away from God.  He knows just what buttons to push to make us forget that we are Christians.

Psalm 27:4-8

One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.
For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.

And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice!
Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
When You said, “Seek My face,”
My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”

            So many people today do not want to spend the time in the church, in the presence of the Lord the way our grandmothers used to.  We want to be home, at the zoo, baseball game or many other things than be in the presence of the Lord with other that want to seek.

            We should see the face of the lord and not the comfort of our friends.

Psalm 27:9-12

Do not hide Your face from me;
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not leave me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation.
10 When my father and my mother forsake me,
Then the Lord will take care of me.

11 Teach me Your way, O Lord,
And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.
12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries;
For false witnesses have risen against me,
And such as breathe out violence.

            Cry out to your Lord and let him help you to fight against the principalities of darkness.  Allow God to help you in your time of need.

Psalm 27:13

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.

            I want to use this verse in a way that some of you that have older kids may understand.  If you have a child that is lost without Jesus in their heart this verse say "I would have lost heart, unless I had believed."  Do not lose your heart over your son or daughter being out of church, however see the goodness of the Lord.  Keep praying and seeking and God will do the rest to bring them to serve Him.

Psalm 27:14

Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!

            I know that it is hard to be of good courage.  We sometime have things that come up that we are afraid of or worried about.  However, be strong and know that God has you in His hands.  It is not always easy and may be a little scary.  Get on your knees and cry out to God and let God handle the end result.
